Makerfabs MaTouch ESP32-S3 Parallel TFT with Touch 5.0" specifications
The MaTouch ESP32-S3 Parallel TFT with Touch 5-inch is the mid-size member of Makerfabs' parallel-RGB family: a high-brightness 800×480 IPS panel with 5-point GT911 capacitive touch, driven by an ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 with 16 MB of flash and 8 MB of PSRAM.
It follows the layout of the hardware-verified 4.3-inch MaTouch: two USB-C ports (one through a CP2104 USB-to-UART, one native USB), two Mabee/Grove connectors for I2C and GPIO, a microSD slot and Flash/Reset buttons. It takes 5 V over USB-C and does not support USB Power Delivery.
Rated for −40 to +85 °C, it is a solid choice for a 5-inch dashboard or control panel when you want IPS viewing angles. LCD Ultra Pro supports it in landscape and portrait. The export contains the full driver setup, so the project compiles straight away.

Free GPIOs and connectors
These GPIOs are not used by the display, touch or on-board peripherals, so you can wire your own sensors, buttons or relays to them.
| Pin | Capabilities | Note |

| GPIO 0 | GPIO, BOOT | Boot button / IO0 |
| GPIO 10 | GPIO, PWM | Free |
| GPIO 11 | GPIO, PWM | Free |

| GPIO 19 | GPIO, USB_DM | USB D- — on the Mabee GPIO connector (as on the hardware-verified 4.3" sibling) |
| GPIO 20 | GPIO, USB_DP | USB D+ — on the Mabee GPIO connector (as on the hardware-verified 4.3" sibling) |
| GPIO 43/TX | GPIO, UART_TX | UART0 TX |
| GPIO 44/RX | GPIO, UART_RX | UART0 RX |
- Mabee I2C — GPIO 17, 18 (SDA, SCL)
Same I2C bus as the touch controller (GT911)
- Mabee GPIO — GPIO 19, 20 (IO19 / D-, IO20 / D+)
Using these pins turns off the native USB port (upload through the USB-to-UART port). Pin map taken from the hardware-verified 4.3" sibling (same RGB / touch wiring) — confirm on a real board
Good to know before you start
- The LCD Ultra Pro driver for this board is compile-tested; its pin map follows the hardware-verified 4.3-inch sibling.
- Using the Mabee GPIO pins (GPIO 19/20) disables native USB — upload through the CP2104 port.
- The Mabee I2C bus is shared with the GT911 touch controller.
- Free GPIOs: 10–13, plus BOOT and UART0.
What it is good for
- •5-inch dashboards and control panels
- •Smart home displays with IPS viewing angles
- •Industrial panels in wide temperature ranges
- •Projects moving up from the 4.3-inch MaTouch
