Makerfabs MaTouch ESP32-S3 Parallel TFT with Touch 7.0" specifications
The MaTouch ESP32-S3 Parallel TFT with Touch 7-inch (SKU MTESPS37) is one of Makerfabs' long-time best sellers: a 7-inch IPS display with 5-point GT911 capacitive touch, driven over RGB565 by an ESP32-S3-WROOM-1-N16R8 with 16 MB of flash and 8 MB of PSRAM.
Makerfabs sells it in two resolutions, 1024×600 and 800×480; the LCD Ultra Pro profile is for the 1024×600 version, which needs different display timing than the 800×480 one. The board has two USB-C ports (CP2104 USB-to-UART and native USB), two Mabee connectors for I2C and GPIO, and an SD card slot, and it is rated for −40 to +85 °C.
A 7-inch panel draws real current: Makerfabs warns that it needs more than 600 mA, and with a weak supply the screen can keep restarting after an upload. Use a good USB power source.

Free GPIOs and connectors
These GPIOs are not used by the display, touch or on-board peripherals, so you can wire your own sensors, buttons or relays to them.
| Pin | Capabilities | Note |
|---|---|---|
| GPIO 0 | GPIO, BOOT | Boot button / IO0 |
| GPIO 2 | GPIO, ADC | Free |
| GPIO 11 | GPIO, PWM | Free |
| GPIO 12 | GPIO, PWM | Free |
| GPIO 13 | GPIO, PWM | Free |
| GPIO 19 | GPIO, USB_DM | USB D- — on the Mabee GPIO connector (as on the hardware-verified 4.3" sibling) |
| GPIO 20 | GPIO, USB_DP | USB D+ — on the Mabee GPIO connector (as on the hardware-verified 4.3" sibling) |
| GPIO 43/TX | GPIO, UART_TX | UART0 TX |
| GPIO 44/RX | GPIO, UART_RX | UART0 RX |
- Mabee I2C — GPIO 17, 18 (SDA, SCL)
Same I2C bus as the touch controller (GT911)
- Mabee GPIO — GPIO 19, 20 (IO19 / D-, IO20 / D+)
Using these pins turns off the native USB port (upload through the USB-to-UART port). Pin map taken from the hardware-verified 4.3" sibling (same RGB / touch wiring) — confirm on a real board
Good to know before you start
- Check your panel's resolution: this profile is for the 1024×600 version; the 800×480 version needs different timing.
- Use a USB supply that delivers well over 600 mA, or the screen may restart repeatedly.
- The LCD Ultra Pro driver is compile-tested; its pin map follows the hardware-verified 4.3-inch sibling.
- Free GPIOs: 2 and 11–13, plus BOOT and UART0; Mabee GPIO (19/20) disables native USB.
What it is good for
- •Large smart home and weather displays
- •Industrial HMIs in wide temperature ranges
- •Kiosks and information panels
- •Dashboards with detailed charts
